2018 Brooklyn Non-Fiction Prize Finale Program at St. Francis College on December 21st, 2018

2018 Brooklyn Non-Fiction Prize
The Brooklyn Film & Arts Festival in partnership with St. Francis College will present the 2018 Brooklyn Non-Fiction Prize finale on Friday, December 21st, 2018at St. Francis College.


Ten essayists who are competitors for the 2018 Brooklyn Non-Fiction Prize's $500 annual writing award  will read excerpts from their submissions. The writers will share their very real and personal stories about their own Brooklyn experiences in the 2018 Brooklyn Non-Fiction Prize finale event titled, “Brooklyn Unbound.” 
 
 This program begins at 7:00 pm Friday, December 21st, 2018 in Room 6214 at St. Francis College located at 180 Remsen Street, Brooklyn Heights, New York, 11201.

Honorable Mention Authors for the 2017 Brooklyn Non-Fiction Prize


We are pleased to announce three authors that are being recognized as an Honorable Mention for the 2017 Brooklyn Non-Fiction Prize.

This new category for the competition has been established to give recognition to essays of great distinction which are deserving of special merit.

   The three authors whose essays have been conferred with Honorable Mention for the 2017 Brooklyn Non-Fiction Prize are the following:


 Daysean Higgs for his story "To Brownsville"  


Reynold Junker for his story "Baseball, a Game of Strategy"


Connie Pertuz-Meza for her story "A Girl From Sunset"
